Life After the Track
Greyhounds have been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons.
A Grey-Gantic Garage Sale Fundraiser and Hound Awareness Day is being held by 'Greyhounds New Beginnings – Life After The Track' on 28th March from 8.00am until 2pm at Centrepoint Church, corner of Hamilton Rd and Pfingst Rd, Chermside (just a few blocks from Chermside Shopping Centre).
Support the garage sale by buying new and pre-loved items, enjoying a sausage sizzle, stocking up at the bake sale or having your face painted. You can bid at the art auction of works by local Brisbane artists including Jo Morris or buy an Easter Basket raffle ticket.
Don't miss the opportunity to meet some Greyhounds, known for their gentle, affectionate intelligence. This makes them the ideal companion dog for both adults and children. They are also ideal pets for the picky as they shed little, have less doggy smell than most dogs and do not bark constantly. Greyhounds can happily spend most of their day asleep.
