Walk in beautiful Greenwich, get inspired & meet the artists
The artists of Greenwich are emerging from their Covid cocoons to present "something for everyone" in their 10th anniversary year - jewellers and children's book illustrators, wood carvers and landscape photographers, printers and weavers, potters and sculptors, along with a plethora of fabulous painters working in encaustic, watercolour, acrylic and oil - 32 of them will be displaying their artwork at the 2022 Greenwich Village Arts Trail.

Held on the weekend of the 5th and 6th November 2022, the local artists of Greenwich invite you to discover the inner workings of an artist's studio. Come and meet and chat with artists and see their work environment, learn about art and purchase directly from them - ideal shopping for Christmas gifts!

All are invited to enjoy this FREE annual community event which takes place in the idyllic harbourside suburb of Greenwich on Sydney's Lower North Shore. Spend the weekend exploring 28 sites, including private studios, galleries and home spaces that are usually closed to the public.

A fabulous variety of artworks will be on display including oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings, pastel and ink drawings, children's book illustrations, bronze, ceramic and wooden sculptures, pottery, jewellery, textiles and photographs.

The participating artists range from well-established professionals who have won prestigious prizes, to highly skilled hobbyists and talented newcomers presenting their art for the very first time. A number of the artists donate all or part of their proceeds to worthy causes such as Mahbooba's Promise (an Afghan charity for women), Mary's Place (a women's shelter), and Youth Insearch.

The Arts Trail is a fantastic day out for families, with cafes and picnic spots available all around the idyllic harbourside suburb.

Pick up a map from the local Greenwich shops, or online on the website, FB or Insta page to see more about the artists. You can follow the suggested walk on the map or catch the free shuttle bus from Greenwich wharf right up to the No.1 studio at the top of the suburb. On Sunday, the free bus even continues over to Riverview to join the Food & Wine By the River Festival.

Studios are easy to spot by the orange flags out the front and there is plenty of parking in the streets - or go green and catch the ferry, train or bus.

Plan your Trail experience today!
