You'll find Green Valley located in the Royal Randwick Shopping centre . People flock to Green Valley to get a huge variety of excellent quality spices at a much cheaper price than you'll find at grocery or health food stores. They've been operating for 30 years, so they really know their spices.

The smell will lure you in instantly and once you have entered the store, you will be tempted to buy everything. The spices look so vibrant and delicious; it's the perfect place to get inspiration for what to cook during the week.

Green Valley is actually much more than a spice shop; they also stock fresh nuts which are sold by weight, fragrant teas, beautiful Lebanese and Turkish sweets, cast iron tea pots and much more. You'll be pleasantly surprised at their huge variety of Chai blends. The Chilli Chai is a must try.

Because things are sold by weight, the savings are passed onto the customer. They also have a loyalty card which really comes in handy if you purchase large amounts of spices. The manager is very helpful and professional; he's happy to answer any questions you have about the spices and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Whilst you may be able to find spices from Asian supermarkets for slightly cheaper, the quality is usually not as good, and you may find that they contain fillers.

Don't feel like leaving the house? You can shop online . Randwick store is open 7 days.

Bonus Recipe:

The following tea recipe has anti-inflammatory properties and has been called a healing elixir. Turmeric is known for its high levels of the natural chemical 'curcumin'. This is what gives it that bright yellow colour. It really is a superfood, and has even been proven to have pain relieving properties. Some people have even claimed that it reverses disease.

You'll need:

-Green Valley's Allergy Turmeric powder (has higher concentration of curcumin than regular turmeric)
-Black pepper powder
-Ginger powder
-Cinnamon powder
-Milk (Soy or Coconut milk can also be used)
-Honey or maple syrup to sweeten
Simply mix equal parts of each powder together. Take a teaspoon of the mixture and stir it into some hot milk. Add honey to sweeten if desired.

So why not head down to Green Valley Spice Shop in Royal Randwick Plaza and spice up your life today?
