Rotary South Sydney has launched a unique and exciting Fresh Food and Artisan Market at Joynton Park in the Green Square Precinct. With the Green Square community growing rapidly, what better way to get to know your neighbours than at your local market. Not limited to just residents, the markets are open to all and make a great family day out. It's also dog friendly so don't leave your four legged kids at home.
The weekly markets will be held every Saturday from 9am to 3pm and is jam packed with all sorts of goodies. You will be spoilt for choice with the fresh and organic local produce, delicious cakes and pastries, coffee, fresh flowers, a range of international foods, clothes, vintage, accessories and more. With weekly entertainment for the kids, a monthly garage sale and live music, plus lots of special events, it is no wonder these markets have become so popular.
Lots to see and do at Green Square
When hunger strikes, there are lots of different cuisines to choose from. You have everything from yum cha, paella, empanadas, falafel, thai, gozleme, sausages, bacon and egg rolls to gourmet hot chips and pulled pork rolls. The sweet tooth has not been forgotten with a delicious selection of cakes and pastries. There is something to please all tastes and appetites.
Every two months a twilight market will also be established to promote the neighbourhood spirit within the area, so, why not hang around and bond with the locals. There is car and bicycle parking available, disabled access, public toilets and a train station only 800m away.
