Brisbane's Free Friday evening jazz in the great outdoors
The days are getting longer, the jacarandas are blooming, and the glorious Brisbane springtime is now in full swing. And that means that Brisbaneites can once again settle in for smooth Friday evening jazz served up in the great outdoors with the ever-popular Green Jam Sessions at QPAC.

It's the perfect wind-down from the working week. Meet your friends for some quiet drinks, pull up a chair or picnic rug and settle in on QPAC's Melbourne Street Green for three hours of free musical entertainment.

Some of Brisbane's best and brightest jazz musicians and performers will feature in the Spring / Summer musical program. Each Friday evening will showcase the talents of a different group or ensemble.

18 October
Eddie Gazani Trio

Eddie Gazani is a Brazilian guitarist and singer, known for his original blend of jazz, samba, bossa nova and forro. Your feet will be tapping along with the rhythm of his trio's energetic performances.

Matty Cook Quartet


1 November
Euan Cumming Quartet


Then Queensland Conservatorium jazz performance students Euan Cumming and friends took to the Green Jam Sessions stage for the first time ever as an official trio at last year's sessions. They're back this year as a quartet, for an encore performance with classics, standards and maybe something new.

Tamara O'Callaghan

Tamara O'Callaghan is an accomplished singer, performer and musician based in Brisbane. She describes herself as a "three dimensional singer" who "incorporates elements of many other contemporary styles such as Pop and Theatre to shake things up and create her own unique sound".

Lachlan Hawkins Quartet

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Lachlan Hawkins is a drummer, percussionist, composer and educator, performing and teaching in the local and wider area. To find out more check out his Facebook page.
