Getting into to the spirit of the inaugural
Sustainable Living Festival , Madame Brussels Lane presents
on Friday 12, 19 and 26 February 2016.
Right in the heart of Melbourne, Madame Brussels Lane's retail district will dedicate the three aforementioned Friday's in February to sustainable living education and celebration.
What you can expect to find in Madame Brussels Lane this summer, is a vibrant mini market with a focus on all things green, as well as sustainability workshops, planting sessions, wholesome food and live music, too.
Sustainable living is important to Melburnians, which is why centrally based Madame Brussels Lane has incorporated the festival into their summer calender. You are encouraged to come along and learn more about the necessities and skills you need to live a sustainable life in the city or in suburbia.
aims to educate all attendees on the products, tools and resources available locally, which will inevitably help you make a positive difference to the environment.
Linda Hawthorne, General Manager for Madame Brussels Lane sees greening the lane as,
"great for our people, our Laneway and our city", Ms Hawthorne said.
"We are inviting all Melbournians to join us across the three days to come and either participate in a workshop, browse through our market stalls and of course stop and enjoy a drink and bite to eat."
Although the timing (11am – 2pm) works well for corporate folk on a lunch break from the office, events are not limited to 9-to-5 workers. Workshop places are obviously limited, and a gold coin charity donation is required, and the Laneway market activities are open to all.
