At a loss for gift ideas? Need something to wear for a girls' lunch today? Need to dress your dining table up for a special dinner? Green Grass Home & Body has got your back.

Perfectly positioned on the corner of Oxford Street, opposite the Memorial Park , walking into Green Grass is like stepping inside Mary Poppins' carpet bag. The shop is bursting with fabulous things that you just never knew you needed until right this second.

You could call it a 'lifestyle' shop because if it isn't your lifestyle now, you're bound to want to create the lifestyle that the shop promises. As you cross the threshold you will be confronted with oodles of ideas for entertaining that you will instantly desire from beach umbrellas and chairs to picnic hampers and barbecue platters that just scream Summer. We love our funky plastic iPod case shaped like an old fashioned radio with built in speakers that I bought my husband for the beach there last year. I also get more than a caffeine kick out of the very cool unbreakable espresso cups that were another successful spontaneous purchase.

The other section that attracts me like a moth to a flame is the children's corner. Last week I spotted the cutest PJs I have ever seen and if there's a newborn baby in your life, look no further than the Oobi gift boxes with some seriously cool nappy covers and booties. My daughter adores all the little girlie clips and trinkets whilst my son is a big fan of the finger puppets. There's a small but select choice of beautiful children's books too.

Don't leave the shop without a rummage through the hanging rails as I have come up trumps here many a time. Whilst the Metalicus range and Sacha Drake is a big lure for many of my friends, I love discovering new labels here that I have never heard of. All the clothes are casual, easy wear fabric that suits the lifestyle of busy Brisbane women. There are some great bags and sandals too.

If you're cruising Oxford Street you'll soon discover the grass doesn't get much greener than here. And if all that shopping wears you out, there's always the Park Bench Espresso Bar to regroup and refuel before you take off with your new finds.
