Do you like chocolate? Of course, you do, I mean really, who doesn't? Here then, is an opportunity to taste meals that are inspired by Green & Black's chocolate, curated by two up-and-coming young chefs from the Yarra Valley. But you have to be quick, this pop-up restaurant the Conscious Cafe will only be there for 3 days - Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September.
The pop-up restaurant will take place in Cremorne's Glasshouse in collaboration with a team of like-minded Australians, who share a commitment to ethics and indulgence as well. The menu will consist of a three-course chocolate-inspired, delicious menu, with the added aim of producing no waste. Matt Stone and Jo Barret, the two young chefs of Oakridge in the Yarra Valley, excel at this; their restaurant is renowned for this principle and their strong commitment to using local produce.
The green garden of Glasshaus will be enhanced by furniture designed by MarkTuckey and an abundance of seasonal floral displays placed and scattered in this space. And because this pop-up event is very much committed to both environmental and social ethical principles, $60 from each ticket will go to the aid agency, Save the Children in Australia. The program Save the Children's Hands On Learning Cafes Program will directly benefit from this initiative.
