I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.

Coffee on the go
It's not part of a coffee strip, but The Green Barista doesn't need to be. As a coffee shop, it stands alone bringing a certain air of sophistication to Medina.
Try eating an all-day breakfast
The Green Barista has an extensive menu encompassing breakfast, lunch plus in-betweens. The serving sizes are more than ample and served with panache. You can dine in or take away. Why not have a coffee to go. There is also an alfresco area. The day I was there sitting outside, was glorious with a balmy breeze, right off the sea in the shade of magnificent old Moreton Bay Figs.
Go to the sdewalk cafe
I had the mushrooms on rye served with feta, cream cheese and spinach. It came with lots of freshly sautéed mushrooms. My friend had a BLT, with loads of crispy bacon. I can thoroughly recommend both dishes.
One thing that always grabs my attention inside the cafe is the homilies written on the walls, blackboard style. For example - When nothing goes right ... turn left.
The Green Barista's focus is Italian Mediterranean, with recipes having a Green Barista twist. I couldn't fault the menu or service, plus the fact that my meal was certainly served with a smile. Why not have a coffee while you peruse the Medina Markets on a Saturday.
Coffee With panache
The Green Barista is open Wednesday through to Sunday, from 7 am brekkie for the early birds, 'til 2 pm lunch until afternoon tea. The Green Barista is located at 10/19 Pace Road Medina, just opposite IGA. Unfortunately, there is no web address or telephone number to book.
