She experimented and came up with some delicious smoothies and slushies to share. Her recipes allow one all kinds of all-time favorite treats. She explains that they detox your body, build immune function and help lose weight. Some smoothies call for protein powder and a high speed blender.
Savage explains how probiotics are an everyday essential bacteria in the gut. You can have all of the good treats of smoothies, such as chocolate cheesecake, while building beneficial bacteria.
The author discourages dairy and soy, while encouaging nut milk, eliminating the consumption of meat while the prime source of your diet should be vegetables. Her recipes range from Peach Cobbler, Pina Colada and Blackberry Pie to Raspberry Tart, South of the Border and Zucchini Nut Bread. The book ends with testimonials praising Michelle Savage's recipes.
In my opinion, the pace of the book is the perfect speed. I loved almost every single recipe. I suppose that if one is going to go on a complete raw lifestyle, this book should be your Bible. I think if you really want to change your life, the Green Aisle is perfect. I recommend this book to everyone.
