Greek Meat Rissoles (Biftekia) Recipe

Bet you thought hamburger patties are American? Well us Aussies have rissoles. So there! And Greeks, being an ancient race possibly have the original mince meat roundish treat - biftekia!

Here's the simple recipe:

1 kilo mince beef meat
1 egg
1 large onion (finely chopped)
1 bunch parsley (finely chopped)
3 tablespoons oats (healthier than breadcrumbs)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Mix with clean hands in a bowl. Shape into burger patties. Grill for about 7 minutes on each side. Kali Orexi (Bon appétit).
