Jam packed kustom kulture event in the Redlands
Now in its nineteenth year, GreazeFest is back at the Redland Showgrounds from Friday 3rd August through to Sunday 5th, 2018. Brought to you by Robot Productions and supported by the Redland City Council, GreazeFest is the utmost kustom culture event in the Southern Hemisphere. Thousands of rockabilly and hot rod fans will roll through the gates over the weekend.

It doesn't matter if you are an enthusiast or just interested in seeing what the fuss is about, this festival brings something for everyone. There will be a large variety of market stalls offering all sorts of shopping temptations from vintage wares, rockabilly clothing, artwork, music, posters, cowboy boots, automobilia, jewellery, handbags, model cars, cool sunglasses, books, t-shirts, kids wear, books and lots more.

You will certainly be able to fill in a full day or more as you meander around the displays of cool cars, vintage bikes, lowrider cycles, art shows, workshops and competitions.

Ticket prices are very economical for the entertainment provided as there are events happening all the time; whether it be competitions, displays, live bands, workshops or a mobile tattoo stall, you could never be bored at this Fest.

Darrel Higham - British rockabilly great
Pat Capocci -One of Australia's most respected practitioners of rockabilly and roots music
The Detonators - Australia's kings of roots rock n roll.
Scotty Baker - signature sound and witty, expressive lyrical style, composing original rockabilly, country and swing tunes
Doubleblack - White-knuckled, hip-shakin' rock'n'roll
The Flattrakkers - Hot rod rockin' at its highest octane,
The Linelockers - High energy traditional rockabilly trio from Lismore
Twang - tip of the top with brilliant songs, an infectious rhythm and twang-tone harmonies
Jon Flynn's Knight of Sin - Rockabilly, hillbilly jazz and blues
Ross and The Wild Boys - this young and wild band have their feet set firmly in 1955
Kitty Martini & The Tom Collins Trio - High heels, rockabilly, rhythm and blues and western twang from Tasmania
Miss Teresa & Her Rhythmaires - Australia's foremost female rockabilly performer.
Lovejoy Surf - resurrect instrumental hits from the 50s and 60s
Stripped Black - Something that bops, something rockabilly, something instrumental, something danceable
Slim Gritty - new trio of master rockers ready to rock
The Hi-Boys - high-energy 4-piece Australian rockabilly band
Kieron McDonald - authentic and wild garage-style rockabilly and rock'n'roll music
Shane Magro Combo - Fully immersed in the rockabilly sound of the 1950s

Along with this fantastic line-up of bands and singers above, professional pinstriper Von Hot Rod is returning to GreazeFest this year. Catch up with him to have your pieces pinstriped as you watch.

You may wish to book in for a tattoo with Mimsy in her pastel pink 1959 Sunliner caravan. Bookings are essential, so email Mimsy at with your ideas.

WolfmanCam Designs was established eight years ago with the idea to create clay sculptures, kool resin heads and tattoo designs. Look at for his stall at the Fest.

Based in Brisbane, Tiki Dylan carves his way to perfection in his quest for a flawless and unique piece of wood carving. His work has featured in many art shows and published in Pinstriping and Kustom Graphics magazine in the UK.

Cartoon artists Paul Hughes from Melbourne and Shaun Dickinson bring their own unique style to this year's event. Paul's work is influenced by 50s-60s-70s pop culture, through television to comics, movies and music. Shawn is a SoCal cartoonist and illustrator drawing spooky, fun cartoony comics, posters, t-shirts, stickers etc.

Talented artist Krazy Dotty's style is drawn entirely in dots requiring a great deal of patience and discipline, but with amazing results.

If you love art and have your own designs, why not bring them along and enter the GreaseFest Kustom Art Show. Designs must be within the kustom culture genre. All submissions go into the running for the King Artist Award. To enter, send an email with your name and brief details of your artwork, its size, shape, whether it requires hanging or is free standing; all work is required to be in a "ready to display" condition. Items are displayed with "Not for Sale" or "For Sale" signs and if you would like to sell your item, you need to have the price and contact details shown. GreazeFest does not take commission for any sales.

Getting to GreazeFest

A car park is available in the Redland Showgrounds with entrance off Long Street, via Gate 3. If coming by train, take the Shorncliffe Line to the Cleveland Train Station. From there you can catch a bus to take you to the showgrounds. Visit Translink for view timetables and bus options.

This is an event for the whole family. Pack your bag with sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and water and make your way down to Cleveland for an occasion not to be missed while soaking up the euphoric atmosphere at this year's GreazeFest.
