Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants that attack free-radicals in your body, which are known to cause ageing and tissue damage. It has also been said that strawberries have the properties to whiten teeth. Simply slice strawberries in half and rub gently on teeth in a circular motion.

4. Hard boiled egg



Hard boiled eggs are very easy to prepare. They are a great source of protein and a low GI food meaning they will keep you feeling full for longer. A medium-sized egg has about 78 calories and can be prepared in boiled water for 8 minutes depending on how soft you like your yolks.

5. Oats and Berries.

Strawberries are a wonderful berry and blueberries, and cranberries also offer a great similar properties and health benefits and are delicious when paired with oats. Ensure you keep your oats free of added calories by choosing pure rolled or steel cut oats with out additional additives.

Carrots and hummus are a combination made for each other. Carrots are known to improve vision and they are also a great source of beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant. They are great for skin care when applied as a home-made face mask (after grating and combined with egg white or honey) and are a fantastic addition to your diet to increase fibre. The base ingredient of hummus are chickpeas that are a fantastic source of protein. You can enjoy about 10 baby carrots with 2 tablespoons of hummus or 2 table spoons of hummus with 1 medium sized carrot for around 100 calories.
