I am a world traveller & a mom of two, (8 & 6). I love to meet people, and am fascinated that there are 7 billion stories out there to be explored. I think Melbourne is the most happening city to live in with all the fun activities around town.
The Adventure Experience through Melbourne
Melbourne is home to many adventurous activities and one of them is the Great Pursuit Melbourne 2015, which can be compared to "The Amazing Race" to get a quick understanding of what it is all about.
The event is being organized by Uplift Events, which is an event management company that specialises in unique and exciting corporate team building events.
You may think you know the city's ins and outs well. This event will provide all participants with a chance to test your city's knowledge, as you race around town, visiting the iconic landmarks and sites as you tackle various activities. The challenge is to complete the course with your team-mate in the least amount of time. What makes the whole event wildly interesting is that the course will present the participants with puzzles and clues to be solved in order to get from one stage to the next.
The emphasis during the course will be to work hand-in-hand with your team-mates that will encourage all participants to use their cooperation, communication, leadership, decision-making and time-management skills in order to accomplish the task at hand. This will not only be physically demanding, but mentally challenging as well. If it sounds like something that excites your sense of adventure, then pick a partner, pick one of the dates, and register your interest by purchasing the event tickets.
The participants must be at least 16 years of age. This adventure activity is designed for people of all fitness levels. The duration is approximately 3 hours, starting at 1pm (registration starts at 12pm). To keep the mystery alive, the exact location of the start and finish will be kept a secret and emailed only 7 days prior to the date you have selected. There are six dates on which this event will be held:
14 March 2015 (Saturday) 22 March 2015 (Sunday) 29 March 2015 (Sunday)
11 April 2015 (Saturday) 19 April 2015 (Sunday) 2 May 2015 (Saturday)
Some things you must bring with you on the day are comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothes, water/food/snacks, mobile phone, valid Myki, CBD map, and anything else you think will make your experience better.
The cost of participating is $59 per person, but two teams of two can register for $109. In 2014, approximately 1500 people participated in this event.
