Half price waffles at Gelare Tuesdays are clearly the best day to forget about the diet in Perth. Every Tuesday, the various Gelare franchises around Perth slash the price of their waffles in half for the whole day.
Yes, that's not from 11 to 2, or after 5pm - it is ALL DAY! Because of this, it seems most of the Gelare stores are open later too, as many people cash in on this great deal.
The waffles at Gelare are mouthwatering, they're warm and soft with the right amount of crunch. When you add the maple syrup and choose from their renowned range of ice creams you really have a recipe for heaven. Woolworths daily pub meal specials
The various specials on at the moment include 'Kids Eat Free' Monday, 'Chewsday Steak Night' Tuesdays starting from $14 and 'Rock 'n' Ribs' Thursdays, featuring spare ribs starting from $15 for a half kilo.
As well as the daily specials, they also have various drinks specials and discount coupons that you can print off from any of the pub websites.
Friday specials at Feral Brewery I may be a little biased towards independent breweries, but this is my favourite special. Every Friday at Feral brewery in the Swan Valley you can drink and dine for $20!
You get the choice of either a chicken parmi and one other dish (second option varies) with a glass of any of Ferals very well decorated range of beers. The servings are huge, the quality is near unbeatable and it is all for $20, who says fine food has to be expensive!?
$9.50 burgers at The Shack These guys really know good burgers. Forget Grill'd, FAB, Jus and all those other new hipster burger joints sprouting up, the shack is the place to go.
The Shack challenge themselves with their deal. Between 11am and 9pm, Monday to Thursday, you can get a gourmet burger for just $9.50. Better yet, if it isn't ready in 10 minutes, the burger is free! Pair that with their $10 cocktail of the week (they are very well renowned for these) and you've got a sweet deal right in the heart of the city.
The first is for the early birds with a big appetite. Big breakfasts are usually upwards of $20. Between 9 and 11 the Bellhouse big breakfast is just $9.50 - yes, you read that correctly, and yes it comes with everything you'd expect in a serving size fit for a teenage boy.
The second is for the more sophisticated lot, well we all love pretending to be sophisticated every now and then right? For $30 you can indulge in a dozen freshly shucked oysters and a glass of wine over lunch time. Hows that for value!?
There are still plenty of good quality, good value meals to be had around Perth. So quit complaining and start searching for your own favourite special. You can still dine out and have money in the wallet at the end of the day.
We set out on the old Trumpy on Sunday-1st stop feral brewery but just enjoyed a pint of Hophog (not the recommended special day and busy but so worth the trip). Then the Parkerville for a pint of JS at $12 and fish n' chips $23 (a bit pricey compared to The Woodbridge that has their own brew and not bad for $8 a pint and fish n' chips at $20 but huge serve to feed two and live music like the Parkerville on Sunday). Heading back to all three this Summer plus have to try some more of your suggestions-keep them coming.
