I always enjoy a visit to the Lavender Bistro and Boutique. The restaurant has a relaxing vibe to it and the staff are always friendly, attentive and welcoming. Review: Maison Saint-Honoré specializes in authentic French cakes, desserts, crepes and more. I am a big fan of their macarons, which come in a variety of colours and flavours. If I am visiting for afternoon tea, I might get a hot chocolate with one or two macarons on the side for myself. If I want to spoil someone, I will purchase a box of eight as a present, and have fun selecting different flavours and colours. Maison Saint-Honoré also do wonderful crepes. Their savory crepes make for a delicious breakfast and their sweet crepes are fantastic dessert options. If you want to try one of their cakes, you can't go past their lemon meringue tart, which is just great. If you are visiting with a friend and want to share a dish, you have to try their sweet tasting plater for $20 which comes with eight mini desserts.

Mondo Nougat is a great place to visit. The last time I visited, there were blocks of rocky road, bags of assorted nougat bars, Italian biscuits, chocolate honey comb pieces, traditional hard-boiled sweets, nougat flavoured gelato and much more. The staff were very welcoming to customers and were quick to offer me a free tasting. I purchased a bag of mixed mini nougat bars and a bag of Turkish delight chocolate pieces. I will definitely be coming back to try some of their gelato next time.

The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always pleasant. We ordered a cake from Sherbet's for my daughter's fifth birthday called a "freckle cake" that came covered in hundreds and thousands. It was a huge hit with the kids. If you are planning on visiting Sherbets, I would recommend trying their cupcakes, which are very indulgent and delicious, or having a slice of cake.

Review: Mimmo's Gourmet Gelato is an award-winning gelato and sorbet shop located in Guildford. This is one of my favourite places to go for ice cream. They sell cakes, sorbets and premium made gelato. There are always some interesting flavours to pick from, like Milk and Cherry, Apple Pie, Blueberry Muffin and White Choc and Tiramisu. The staff here are always so friendly. I remember we went there once and my little girl wanted bubblegum gelato, but there was none available. The clerk behind the counter smiled and told us to wait. He went out the back and came back out again with a fresh tub of bubblegum which put a huge smile on my daughter's face. It's good customer service like that you don't end up forgetting.
