On 2 February 2013, the Geelong racecourse will undergo a magical transformation and will become the buzzing setting for the Great Australian Beer Festival.

Whether you are a beer lover or a beer enthusiast, the Great Australian Beer Festival is bound to awe you with the amazing array of beers and ciders on display, featuring the very best of the 25 brewers from around Victoria and interstate. All the big names in the brewing industry will grace the red carpet of this festival including Prickly Moses, Forrest, Little Creatures, Southern Bay and more. And if all the beers and ciders get a tad too overwhelming then unwind with some wine from the wonderful wineries who will be present at the festival.

While you will be introducing your tastebuds to the mind-bogglingly variety of beers and ciders you will be entertained with live music from the likes of Jebediah Frontman and Kevin Mitchell. There will also be other crowd pullers like funky Vaudeville Smash, bohemian duo, the Firetree, bluesy Billabong, model Ashleigh Mannix and many more.

Australia's very own Beer Diva and 'first lady of beer' Kirrily Waldhorn will be the star host for the day. She will running a horde of master classes pairing food and ice-cream with beer as well as meet the brewer sessions. She will also be at the helm of educational seminars on Beer Know How and many more.

And if you are worrying about taking your little ones to the festival then fear not. There will be a kid's entertainment area with provisions for a wide range of activities along with roaming entertainers to keep the little ones occupied.

To augment the beer fiesta, there will be an exquisite offering of gourmet delights like Wood Fired Pizza with beer base, Beer battered fish and chips, Beer marinated meats, Kangaroo burgers in addition to Paella, salads, wraps and ice cream.

The festival will commence at 11am and will run until 7pm at the Geelong racecourse. Tickets are $39 pre-sale and come with an official souvenir tasting glass and 3 tokens.
