The 6th annual Great Australian Beer Festival Geelong will be staged at Geelong Racecourse on Saturday February 17th between Noon and 8 PM.
This event attracts brewers from all over the country and as many as 5000 beer lovers are expected to descend on Geelong Racecourse to sample their wares.
More than 200 beers and ciders will be exhibited by 30 producers at the annual Great Australian Beer Festival Geelong 2018.
More than 200 beers and ciders will be available for tasting from more than 30 producers at what is one of Australia's largest outdoor beer tasting events. There'll also be nonstop entertainment provided by some of the biggest names in the local music industry.
There'll be plenty of food trucks and BBQs and a series of interactive seminars hosted by industry experts will give beer lovers the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the top names in the brewing industry.
This is an event no beer lover will want to miss but it's also family friendly.
Along with some great beers there'll be plenty of good food served up with a very generous serving of live entertainment.
The festival will use a token system as currency for food and beverage purchases with each token valued at $2. They can be purchased with your ticket or through designated token tents and roaming token sellers on the day. Tokens are not refundable or redeemable for cash. General Admission online costs $43 and includes admission, tasting glass and access to all features and entertainment. General Admission plus 20 Tokens costs $83 and includes admission, 20 Tasting Tokens ($40 worth), tasting glass and access to all features and entertainment.
Accompanied 13 to 17 year olds cost $20 and provides admission only – must be supervised at all times. Accompanied 12 year olds and under are free.
Group Bookings (for 11or more people) cost $430 and includes entry plus a tasting glass for each person.
Tickets purchased at the gate will cost $50 per person and include admission plus a tasting glass.
No self respecting beer lover will want to miss the 2018 Great Australian Beer Festival Geelong.
Getting There …..
Regular VLine services will operate to South Geelong Station with buses running from the station to the event all day at 15 to 20-minute intervals. No bookings are required for this service.
Return Regional bus services will run between Geelong Racecourse and Portarlington, Drysdale, Leopold, Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Warralilly, Torquay and Armstrong Creek. Check the website www.gabfgeelong.com.au for details, pricing and to book.
Parking will be available at Geelong Racecourse at a cost of $5 per car.
