Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas presented 'Grease Sing-a-long' at Brian Nadilo Reserve, Glenelg on Thursday 31st March at 7:30pm. The crowd of all ages poured into the open-air cinema for a night of fun-field entertainment. The 1978 musical comedy is loved by all generations, from baby-boomers to Generation Y. It's something the whole family can enjoy together and Ben & Jerry's Open-air Cinema go one better, they make a be-loved musical a sing-a-long!

Entering into the open-air cinema, guests were presented with freebies, including a stress ball, shower timer and funky bracelet. You can sit on beanbag chairs, deck chairs or blankets under the stars and watch your favourite flicks on a blow-up screen.

Guests were invited to enjoy free coffee before the film and the Star Lounge audiences had beanbag chairs, free blankets and a free drink offered to them by table service.

When the karaoke style movie began, it was just like watching Grease at home, however when a song began the lyrics popped up on the screen along with funny emoticons. It was the crowd on the balcony of the surf club that started the singing; one gentleman even yelled out 'This is meant to be a sing-a-long'. This revved up the crowd got ready for 'Summer Nights'. The men of the audience joined Travolta, while the women joined Newton-John. With the waves crashing outside the cinema while Danny and Sandy jumped through the waves in the movie, it actually felt like we were there in the movie with them.

When it came time to do-up that beat-up car, the crowd was ready for some 'Grease Lighting', singing along loudly. The crowd demonstrated their best Grease Lighting moves following Danny's too! Everyone began to bop when Rizzo sang 'Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee' and showed off their hand-jive during the National Bandstand Dance at Rydell High.

Guests enjoyed the amazing wood oven pizzas, drinks from the bar and of course, Ben & Jerry's ice-cream.
