Grassfed: Plant Based Burgers & Ice-Cream Brisbane

South Brisbane's delicious vegan sundaes
Grassfed is one of those great haunts, where locals flock to on a daily basis at the bottom end of Fish Lane heading towards West End. This small restaurant/takeaway joint doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you enter the doors, the fresh aromas of fresh and clean food hit you. The small lively kitchen is located close to the small allocated dining area for guests. This doesn't bother the local tribes who make their way down this back lane for good food that is healthy and sustainable. But if you find the restaurant a little claustrophobic, the good people at Grassfed have provided comfy milk crates outside, to sit on while you devour your meal with gusto.

The plant-based restaurant offers Vegan-friendly hamburgers to quench your taste buds such as the Classic Hamburger with vEEF patty (not beef), along with gluten-free Hamburger options, along with other treats to cool down with on a hot summer day. With so many menu options available, I stuck to my initial pick and ordered their Vegan Soft Serve Sundae, made from coconut cream and sweetened agave with chocolate sauce. Even that task was a bit of debate; as a warm chocolate cookie and caramel sauce accompanying my sundae called Cookie Wookie and the deep-fried Vego bar topped with chocolate sauce - Heavenly Vego all looked tantalising. The Plain Soft Serve Sunday with chocolate sauce was light, cooling and delicious. All of Grassfed's Sundae's and milkshakes are made from coconut ice-cream from I Should Coco Ice-Cream. This is definitely a restaurant to revisit again on a hot or cool day as the food is healthy and clean, but delicious.
