On November 2 grab a picnic lunch and head to the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens to enjoy Brisbane's decade long free Grass Roots Music Festival.



Chill out on the grass or dance with the audience in this great family friendly, alcohol free atmosphere. Music includes some of the region's best original country, blues, roots, folk and acoustic artists.



The festival kicks off from 11 am and continues to 5 pm in the afternoon. There is plenty of parking at and around the Botanic Gardens, but there are also buses that run directly to the Gardens from the city (bus number 471) and from as far away as Chermside and Garden City (Buses 598 and 599).

12:30pm - Cleveland Blues

1:15pm – Megan Cooper

2:00pm - 8 Ball Aitken

2:45pm – Harmony James

3:30pm - Red Crow

4:15pm – Tiama Ogburn
