Every year to celebrate the conclusion of a successful harvest and vintage, Flame Hill Vineyard hosts their signature event, the Stomp festival. The very impressive Stomp festival's distinctive difference is to allow guests the opportunity to experience a real harvest on a real working farm.

Make sure you bookmark the date in February with Flame Hill Vineyard for Stomp 2019! It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience and is the perfect day out for corporate staff, clients and friends and family. Stomp 2019 includes an al-fresco style lunch with ocean and mountain views, all whilst overlooking the Shiraz vineyards.
The absolute highlight of the Stomp festival is the stomping of the grapes, but it also creates a fabulous opportunity for wine aficionados and food lovers to get out and about for a day of tasting, eating and exceptional live entertainment.
Fun with a capital 'F' - Image: author
In addition to its own estate-grown wine - the likes of which is so amazing, it barely has time to draw a breath in my wine racks - Flame Hill Vineyard provides grass-fed Angus beef, farm-grown produce, poultry, eggs and game birds in the restaurant, as well as in the Muscat Cellar/Terrace menu.

Nothing like feeling cold grapes between your bare toes - Flame Hill Vineyard and Restaurant FB
It's grape stomping season, so get ready to kick off your shoes and stomp some grapes! There is nothing quite like the feeling of icy cold grapes between your bare toes as you jump in an oak barrel to experience the age-old tradition of pressing grapes by foot. It's fun with a capital 'F'!
PS For those readers who are wondering whether grape stomping with bare feet is a sanitary pastime - according to wine experts, thanks to the delicate balance of acid, sugar and alcohol that prohibits human pathogens from surviving in wine, stomping grapes is perfectly sanitary! Who knew!
