From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 February Yarra Valley welcomes wine aficionados and keen foodies to a huge three-day festival of wine, scrumptious food, boutique ciders and locally brewed beers to Grape Grazing 2014.
With over 60 fabulous events, from wine tastings to picnic luncheons, from romantic dinner feasts to adventurous hot air balloon rides, from family BBQ days to fabulous live music, the 2014 Festival has something for absolutely everyone.
There is so much happening and it's impossible for me to list it all. The following pages merely give you an idea of the sorts of things to expect at this Festival. The Don't Miss List
At Commbe Farm, visitors are encouraged to sample some of their most delicious wines. If you like what you taste, why not stay longer and meander among the vines. Enjoy a burger, and allow the rising opera stars dazzle you with their performance.
The Yarra Valley Racecourse is offering a day of music, food, wine and horse racing. Savour the bluesy vibe, taste various wines, and enjoy a picnic luncheon.
Escape the hustle and bustle to ACME's Gallery and Courtyard in order to indulge in delicious wines and light snacks paired with beautiful art works and beautiful images at ACME et al - Delinquent Wine Bar. And while you're there, don't forget to check out the Delinquent Exhibition to feast your eyes on the poetic artwork by local artist Jessica Page.
Chateau Yering is having a Champagne Garden Party and all are invited. Expect French Champagne, yummy gourmet food, and great live music from Four Season's String Quartet.
And get ready for a session of vertical tasting of 15 vintages from Five Oaks' single vineyard cabernet sauvignon. The tasting will take place at Five Oaks Vineyard.
Whether you have a special occasion to celebrate, or simply looking to spoil yourselves, then allow Balgownie Estate to serve up a scrumptious degustation five course dinner paired with the perfect wine in their private dining room.
Or if you have a couple of kids, Balgownie Estate's Sunday Family BBQ is perfect for you. You and your family will definitely have a great time devouring the BBQ lunch and the young ones will be in heaven with face painting, balloon making, bouncing castle and heaps more.
De Bortoli will be serving up two and three course Italian inspired lunch. In addition, they are also offering a four course Valentine's Day Lunch, an opportunity to have a picnic in their beautiful gardens with their Traditional Graze, and an ultimate experience at the Twilight Graze with pre-dinner nibbles, two-course dinner and a selection of whites and reds.
Time for a catch up with the girls? Then head to Fergusson Winery & Restaurants for their traditional Sunday High Tea. Savour a variety of sweet and savoury selections including finger sandwiches, mini quiches, fluffy scones, chocolate macaroons and heaps more.
