Cafe entrepreneur Adam Wilkinson has announced the launch of two unique eateries, to open on Melbourne's southside before the end of 2016.

Wilkinson, best known for launching popular Prahran cafe, St Edmonds - renowned for attracting long queues of hopeful diners - as well as the sustainable Denis The Menace , returns to the game after taking a break from the industry.

On 21st November 2016, the Grange Road Egg Shop will open at the intersection of Toorak and Grange Roads, Toorak. Offering 'a light and bright eatery with a strong aesthetic', the cafe will be a 97-seater venue that will bring a new vibe to Toorak Village.

Grange Road Egg Shop will feature a menu designed by Aleksander Nitecki, who hails from the Yotam Ottolenghi stable, the underlying philosophy of which is to 'make people happy through food'. The venue also promises pastel furnishings, a custom street art style installation, and quirky references to the egg theme.

The second venture, Lillie, will open in early December in Chatham Street, Prahran. Located close to Chapel Street, expect healthy, quality takeaways and dine-in meals. Following a US trend, Lillie will offer fresh salads by the scoop, with optional add-ons including crisp pork belly, cured fish or pickled and probiotic vegetables.

This 120-seater venue will feature a fitout from Simon Cooks from DuckBuild Architecture , and a giant self-sufficient bio tank representing a living eco-system that exhibits Adam's passion for sustainability.

Keep an eye on Facebook for the opening date of Lillie.
