Just outside of Canberra, high on a hilltop is the perfect place for a pitstop.

Set in a Olive Grove, and selling plenty of olives and oils naturally, is a little café and shop. Sister to the , Grandma's Little Bakery at Alexandria and Rosebery should be lure enough to make a detour.

Grab a coffee or a hearty meal, or just pick up some provisions for home. If you buy one of their frozen soups or pasta meals, then dinner is ready to go when you get home.

The bakery section of biscuits and sweet treats will make it hard to resist buying just one, but it could be just the bribe the kids need to get you through the rest of the trip.

The pies and sausage rolls are definitely worth a mention, as they're not your run of the mill fare. Interesting flavours, the Moroccan being my favourite.

There is also a playground outside, where the kids can burn off a little energy.

Next time you drive past, stop in and take a look. You won't regret it!
