Last week I fell in love. It was love at first sight, or should I say, first sip. I have visited Sydney's niche haven of granny glamour a few times, but it wasn't until last week that I discovered the Peanut Butter Colada.

Introducing, the most delicious cocktail I've met.
This is one of Grandma's claims to fame from over the years. Like all cocktails in the kitsch hideaway, it is made with the sort of love that pours into your gran's homemade recipes. Although a drink, I would not hesitate to consider it a dessert.
A range of ingredients are sourced for the mouth-watering mix. The base is golden rum with coconut blended in. Added to this is fresh pineapple, homemade pineapple puree and of course, peanut butter. The unique balance between sweet, tangy pineapple and creamy peanut butter is divine. The flavour, full of tropical, has me hooked.

Sharing the love.
Two nights after my discovery, when I found myself in the area again, I could not resist. I visited Grandma's and savoured another session kicking back in the tiki-themed home, while sipping on this rum speciality. Wearing a colourful lei makes one forget they are in the middle of a bustling city. Since, my friend who I introduced the Colada to has similarly reported cravings for more.
So, moral of the story, Grandma's Peanut Butter Coladas are unique. They are delicious - this honestly is an understatement. They are addictive. They are the best drink to christen a sweet evening with. Or, alternatively, the easiest cocktail to sip on over the course of some quality chit chat. However, let me leave you on the note that this is one of many unique tiki-inspired cocktails to be sipped and savoured at Grandma's.
