There's no better feeling than cruising on the open road travelling as you embark on a journey on along the fringes of the South Coast.

A drive here will have you seeing breathtaking scenery and gazing out at the expanse of the Pacific Ocean while the road bends like a snake around the formation of sea cliffs. And if you don't own a car, you can consider hiring out a car with rental companies such as Redspot because no person should go without experiencing it.

After all, it's one of the very few roads in Australia that will allow you to drive right over the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

But a road trip wouldn't be a road trip without a few stops along the way!

And there are plenty of things that you can do along your coastal trip;

Try your hand at hand gliding off Bald Hill (Stanwell Park) which will have you soaring over the Pacific Ocean.
Stop in for a bite to eat at the Scarborough Hotel while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean.
On your way to the , you can stop by at the Hindu Temple in Helensburgh or walk upon the old train tunnels of Helensburgh nearby.
Say hello to the animals at the Symbio Wildlife Park on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
Stop by at one of the many beaches or rock pools along the way.
And for those of you who love a good shop, feel free to visit the boutique shops of Austinmer on Morton Street.

There are plenty of things that you can do in the midst of this open road adventure. So if you are interested, plan a day or weekend trip and head on down!
