A unique experience
We often see organs played in old movies but how many of us have heard one played live. The 1877 Grand Organ is the oldest concert organ on the Australian mainland. This Grand Organ originally built for Adelaide Town Hall was acquired by the Organ Historical Trust in 1994.

A unique listening experience

The Organ Historical Trust with cooperation of local organisations saw the Tanunda Soldier's Memorial Hall become the home of this organ.

Restoration of the Hill and Son Grand Organ, both external and internal, was undertaken by dedicated volunteers.

Every Wednesday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, at Barossa Regional Gallery, 3 Basedow Road,Tanunda, come and hear the organ being played and look at its inner workings. To help with on-going maintenance a $5 donation is requested.
