Grand Opening of Savers The Recycle Superstore in Narre Warren

Rediscovering the wonders around us through the eyes of my young son.
Event:
Love bargain hunting in thrift shops and live in the Narre Warren area? Here's some great news, Savers The Recycle Superstore is opening a shop in the Westfield Fountaingate Shopping precinct.

Savers thrift shops pay not-for-profit organisations, such as Diabetes Australia-Victoria and the YMCA, for all bags and boxes of goods collected and according to their general website, any items that are not able to be sold in their stores are sent overseas to benefit developing countries.

All Savers shops stock the usual op-shop items of used clothes, furniture, and household bric-a-brac. As their 'superstore' name implies Savers shops are always massively proportioned, often occupying a number of floors so if you don't feel up to the challenge of a Savers shopping expedition, why not take your unwanted goods in for donation instead.

Located just off the Princes Highway in Brechin Drive, Narre Warren, tucked in between Lollipops Playland and Cafe and Sam's Warehouse, it is not actually within the Westfield Fountaingate Shopping Centre. Doors open for the first time at 8am on Thursday the 8th of November 2012.

Wear comfy shoes and successful shopping to all, just be sure to leave some goodies for me.

This is such great news, as parking was always a problem in Dandy, now we can park with ease and shop till we drop (and closer to where we live). Thank you SAVERS!!

I like a bargain too and do pop in to SAVERS from time to time. However, it is important for readers to note that SAVERS is not a charity - while it may give some money to charity, it does not declare how much on its website and it is clearly a profit-making enterprise. If you have donations to give, take these to an actual charity shop
