The history of making films started in Paris in December 1895 with the public screening of ten Lumiere Brothers short films. There had been other project motion pictures, but none produced the quality that the Lumiere Brothers obtained. From this point, film companies across the World were established and the love of characters on a screen providing entertainment for an audience boomed. I can remember my Grandmother talking about silent movies, which are quite hard to comprehend, with the likes of what we have today in both 2 and 3D.



On Friday 31st May 2019, you are invited to be part of the grand opening of the Hampstead Films at The Lodge Hotel , Adelaide. This will be a fun evening incorporating finger food and your first drink is free. Get into the fun of things by dressing in your favourite movie character or rock singer and be part of the festivities for this auspicious occasion.

The Lodge Hotel is located at 1572 Main North Road Brahma Lodge , Adelaide. As the event is free to all, come with a smile to engage with other like-minded film enthusiasts. The event commences at 7.00 to 10.00pm
