Do you know what Puddle Jumpers do?
Puddle Jumpers is a non-profit, non-government organisation committed to advancing the social development of society's most vulnerable children and young people.
Believing that all kids matter, Puddle Jumpers support children to gain the confidence and skills they need to take greater control and make informed choices in their everyday lives. Puddle Jumpers provide a range of programs designed to empower young people to develop a range of skills.
Young people from birth to 15 years can attend camps with a variety of themes. The camps are often an opportunity for siblings and families who do not reside together to make contact in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Camp themes include Pirates, Camp Disco, Winter Wonderland, Superheroes, Life's a Beach, Big Top Camp Circus and Christmas Camp.
As well as the camps, single activity days are also provided throughout Adelaide focussing on children and families.
Activities include a day at the zoo, horse riding and bowling, roller skating and parks, bounce, ice skating, jam factory tour, cooking for fun, rock climbing / trampolining, a day at the beach and/or pool and movies and munchies.
To support the continued development of the children there is a 1:1 ratio of children to volunteers to assist in the development of bonds.
Puddle Jumpers are excited and proud to announce the opening of their new premises at 52 Pleasant Avenue, Glandore and their Grand Opening Celebration on 10 March 2018.
From 10 am until 2 pm, it will be celebration time with the building officially opened by Premier Jay Weatherill and opportunities for visitors to learn more about the services provided in this fun and friendly place.
Entertainment for the little ones will include face painting, craft activities, balloon animals and characters.
There will be tours of the facility and food available.
Take the opportunity to have some time out and learn about this great organisation supporting our children.
