The unassuming, grand old building houses several different dining and bar options, but is most popular for its fresh menu and cheap steaks.

In 1901, a railway refreshment room was constructed near Brisbane Central train station. This establishment underwent many changes over the next century, emerging in 2005 as the , a hotel, restaurant, gaming venue, bar and liquor store.

This establishment has three main areas. Fihelly's Bar, open from 8.00am until late, is a relaxed, friendly bar where patrons can enjoy a meal or watch sport and world events on the big screen TV. Platform Bar is a more sophisticated option with an extensive menu of boutique beers, cocktails and wines. Platform Bar is open for lunch and dinner from midday Monday to Saturday. And the Dining Car, a railway car themed eatery that recalls the establishments early days, provides an intimate atmosphere for meals or events.

Grand Central Gaming Parlour provides customers with TAB facilities, keno and a selection of features games.
