The Blue Mountains, NSW - cool air, great food, fantastic bush walks. With so many bush walks on offer, it's often hard to chose which one to complete. Australian fauna? Canyons? Waterfalls?

Let me make the choice a bit easier and detail one of the best bush walks I have ever completed - the Grand Canyon Track, Blackheath.

This bush walk has it all. Walkers can expect water falls, winding stone steps, caves, creeks, lookouts and lizards.

Stone steps... Neates Glen - Grand Canyon - Evan's Lookout

This was the kind of bush walk that is so pretty and surprising, that you find yourself stopping at various bush clearings, waterfalls and caves just to take in all the details.

Starting from Evans Lookout Road, Blackheath, the walk is 6km in length, takes approximately 3 hours and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service rates this walk as hard. For more important information, including alerts and recommendations, see here.
