Take the front row seat at this seasons runway show, well, don't get me wrong I am not going to talk about fashion here, it's my first airplane adventure to the land of singing, romance, affordable beauty, cedar trees and Eden.
Grand Café Beirut is Lebanon's everyday red carpet view; it's a must-lounge-in niche when visiting Lebanon, an all-taste café with indoor and outdoor seating that matches your mood.
Couples, friends or family, Grand Café Beirut is more than happy to embrace you with their warm welcoming staff and Lebanese refreshments. You can enjoy a delicious dish and good company while basking in the shaded sun and fresh minty air at their spacious outdoor laze, where you can oversee the Italian-like paves and turnout streets along with people from different ages and genres in their latest in-fashion going up and down the slipway. It's as if you're watching 2013 fall/winter catalogue but in 3D.
Of course, it has a wide selection of authentic Lebanese dishes! From appetizers, to tasty chef specialties and a selection of a bit overpriced desserts accompanied by freshly squeezed beverages.
Since the fashinoistas got you all jittered for shopping, you don't have to worry 'cause Grand Café Beirut is right at the heart of nifty stores and touristic hotspots, where you can wish and they can answer your commands.
The café is also perfect for a quick stop from all the strolling around downtown Beirut, but a little hubbley bubbley because of all the argila.
The staff are so caring, they took pictures of me and my husband when we there, they even helped us pick the right seat to crash in since we moved a thousand times and gave us menu recommendations, but don't fall for all their choices and the peanuts they place on your tables are not complementary.
