The Grand BBQ has been around for a few years now. Back in my uni days I used to frequent this place a fair bit because it is so cheap.

It is still bustling to this very day, even if the old building across the road, which used to house many uni students, has shut down.

At lunchtimes, there are always queues, so it is best to get in early. There isn't a lot of seating, but try and grab a table when you can.

This is a cash only place, but there is an ATM just outside.

Here a meal is $10.50, which includes free tea. You help yourself to cutlery and sauces and the tea. I got the Yong Tau Foo, where you can choose six things to put in there. It is a noodle dish. You can choose the type of noodles and soup that you want. I chose rice noodles with chicken soup. The six things that I chose were dumplings (two kinds), seafood stuffed tofu, fish cake, dried bean curd sheets and the other thing, I can't remember.

The noodle soup was pretty good for the price paid. And with free tea, who can complain?

In short: come here for the good value meals
