See, experience and embrace the floral spectacle of the Jacaranda Tree at this year's Grafton Jacaranda Festival from 25 October to 3 November 2024.
Each Spring, the majestic jacaranda tree bursts into bloom, bringing a purple blaze of flowers across parks, homes, and street fronts in Eastern states. The town's trees were planted in the 1880s under the town's beautification project. There are now some 1700 heavily scented jacarandas in the town reaching well over 100 years old.
For the last 89 years, the town of Grafton has welcomed visitors to walk beneath the town's magnificent collection and display of its purple canopy of the Jacarandas with community activities at its Jacaranda Festival.
Now on its 90th birthday, the Festival is set to again celebrate the beauty of the tree and its visual impact on the town.
Join in a range of family-friendly activities including:
Walking and Bus Tours
Music, dance and artwork
Markets
Food stalls and food trucks
A children's party
Fireworks
Specialty ticketed events
Of course, it is free to wander and stroll through the Jacaranda-clad streets.
