Located within TAFE SA Regency Park,
Graduates Restaurant offers an enjoyable experience at a very reasonable price. It is a fine-dining training restaurant with meals prepared by cookery students and served by hospitality students.
Scallops
On the night I was there, Certificate IV students were running the kitchen. They prepared scallops with cauliflower and crispy pancetta for the entree, beef wellington as a main course and sticky date pudding with ice cream to finish. Bread and petit fours were included too. I loved the presentation and taste of all the dishes.
Beef Wellington
Certificate III students served my table, and I must say they did a great job in ensuring diners were taken care of. The students were of course supervised by their lecturers. Everyone conducted themselves in a professional manner.
Sticky date pudding
A special 3-course set dinner menu such as this is available on selected days. Do head to their
website to see all the operating dates for the semester. Reservations can then be made either online or by calling them on 8348 4348.
Bread
The dinner costs only $50 which is rather amazing. Not to mention, you get the opportunity to support these students as well. Beverages are available for an additional cost.
Petit fours
TAFE SA Regency Park can be found at 137 Days Road in Regency Park. The restaurant is accessible via Entrance 2. I can't stop spreading the word and am looking forward to dining there again soon. For more information, check out
