Government House Victoria – Australia Day Open Day
Government House will be having an open day so you can wander around, see parts of the house as well as the gardens. This will take place on Saturday 26th January 2019, from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. This will be a befitting and wonderful opportunity to see this house and garden on Australia Day and it is actually part of the Australia Day celebrations!
It will be a self-guided tour, which I personally prefer, as you can wander at your own pace and if something interests you, you can stop and spend as much time there are you wish.
The tours start at the Fountain Court entrance and run between 10.00 am and 3.30 pm, and the queue will close at 3.00 pm.
The Ballroom
The ballroom will be one of the places you can visit and this is not a part of the actual house tour. This can be entered by the ballroom steps.

There will be a special documentary of 5-minute segments which will explain the role of the Governor, the actual history of Government House and the role that it plays today.
