A rare glimpse
On Sunday 22nd February 2015, Government House will be open to the public. The doors are opened for public viewing only twice a year, so this is a fantastic opportunity to see inside the house, as well as wander around the stunning gardens.
Tours of the garden will be available and will run every 30 minutes.
During the Open Day, you'll see first hand the grand dining rooms, the Governors private office, the ballroom with stunning leadlight windows and see the magnificent portrait paintings some of Adelaide's historical namesakes.
Entry on the day is free, but bring a gold coin or 3. You can leave one at the gate and spend the rest on some yummy home made cupcakes - all proceeds from the day go to the Cancer Council's Relay for Life.
When: Sunday 22nd February
Time: 10am to 4pm
The Adelaide train station is just a few steps away, as is the tram and the buses. Parking in the city is free (or very cheap) in the CBD on a Sunday
