Australia is a beautiful country with many places to explore in your own backyard.
An opportunity to visit Australia’s oldest Government House

As part of South Australia's History Festival, His Excellency, The Governor of South Australia and Mrs Le invite you to visit the oldest Government House in Australia on Sunday 23rd May 2021 from 10am to 4pm.

You will have the opportunity to see the impressive entrance hall, public rooms and learn about the current workings of the house.

Take time also to explore the beautiful garden and grounds with its lush green lawns. The grounds, about 5.6 hectares in area, is home to many prominent trees like palms, elms magnolias and pines.

On the grounds is also a recently installed life-sized statue of The Queen and an Armillary Sphere sundial which was installed in 1991.

The Government House is located at the corner of North Terrace and King William Road. For more information on the Open Day, visit the History Festival website.
