Bonjour! At the
Gourmet Picnic with French Classical Concert, you will enjoy the best of French culture and cuisine. Capture the
joie de vivre of a French picnic, savour cuisine, sip wine, and listen to classical music. This event is organized by the French Embassy as a part of Voilah! 2016.

here . Bon appétit! A basket from
La Petite Boutique comes with a 12-month old French cured ham, traditional French pickles, cheese, jam, biscuits and baquette. It will be available for $50 nett only.
Café & Bar Gavroche offers a basket of quintessential French cuisines with egg plant caviar with black olives and baquette, lentils salad with goat cheese and tomatoes, shredded chicken sandwich with onion compote and confit tomatoes, apple clafoutis, madeleines, choux puffs, and a set of picnic cutlery. This will cost you $98 nett.
A votre sante! Toast with your love one a glass of a chilled bottle of Rosé. French wines such as
Perle de Roseline, Rosé 2014 which costs you only $32.80.
Château Peyrabon, haut Médoc 2008 priced at $70 comes with a pair of disposable wine glasses.
The French Open String Quartet led by
Amaury Coeytaux, a super-soloist of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, will serenade concert goers in the evening. The Open String Quartet Ensemble comprises Amaury Coeytaux, Guillaume Latour (violin), Jakob Kullberg (cello) and Tomoko Akasaka (viola).
Hailed as one of the most gifted and promising musicians of his generation, Amaury Coeytaux has amazed audiences across the globe with his musical sensitivity, and his poetic and impeccable technique. He plays a 1773 Guadagnini, a violin made by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini who is one of the finest craftsmen of stringed instruments in history.
The concert will be held on 17 April at 6pm at Shaw Symphony Foundation Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens. It will be opened by Ding Zhaoxia. She is a Chinese martial art expert with over 30 years of training experience who won the China National championships seven times. she is also the founder of Marianne.Yi, a Sino-French association.
Orchids on Vellum Exhibition will also be shown to public from 17 April until 30 May. Historical watercolours from the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle Collection are part of the royal collections kept at the Library of the Museum in Paris since the French Revolution. It will be featured at Nassim Gate Visitor Centre, Bukit Timah Gate of Botanic Gardens MRT, and Green Pavilion@Botany Centre. Don't miss it when you are coming to the concert venue.
Bring your family members and friends! Your pooch is welcome too. Throw your rug on the soft grass in the garden, enjoy your picnic and treat your ears to the beautiful music. This is a family friendly event.
