I am an academic and writer living in Melbourne. I love to travel and I also love writing about all the things Melbourne, regional Victoria and other parts of Australia have to offer.
Williamstown, history and dog walking

Gourmet Pawprints have been doing tours to wineries for dogs and their owners for quite a while now. Bella, the doggy bus, is well known to many dogs and their owners who have taken part in these tours. Gourmet Pawprints also organise doggy walking tours, one of which is the Williamstown Twilight Walking Tour that incorporates a look at the history of this suburb.

So whilst your doggy friend is enjoying his walk and the company of other dogs, you can learn about Williamstown history, complete with fascinating stories of maritime, old pubs and ghosts and even prisoners who were once part of this historic Melbourne suburb and Melbourne's first port settlement.

It's an easy 5km walk which starts at 6 pm and finishes at 8.30 pm. Included in the price is a personalised guided tour, a fish, chips and salad dinner picnic box, a bottle of water and water for your dog. For dates of tours and to book please go here.

Gourmet Pawprints offer a large number of doggy outings all over regional Victoria which you can find here, as well as many testimonials of happy dog owners.
