Masterchef class: Register for a combination of savoury and sweet dishes with recipes according to age and ability. A one-hour class is $25; one and a half hour class is $30; two hour class is $40 and a three hour masterchef class is $50. Book two or more classes and save 50% off additional classes (conditions apply).

Malvern's lovely setting, fabulous hosting, and great facilitation mean that the mums can sit down with a freshly made espresso coffee and chat in the extra space while the little bakers baked to their hearts' content.



Children can be a chef for the day, making, baking and eating their own creation. Gourmet Kids runs a range of cooking classes from casual drop-ins and kinder sessions to school excursion sessions and holiday programs. There's something for everyone aged 5 to 15. "The children will discover educational benefits whilst cooking using math, science, reading, fine motor skills and social skills through hands on cooking classes," offers co-owner, Susan.

Gourmet Kids also does parties! At the time of publication, the Basic Party (minimum package) has a special promotion of $350 (regular/standard price $400) for up to 12 children ($27.50 per extra child).

Additional options are available for an additional cost, including an apron and chef hat for each guest, lolly bags, food trays for adult guests, additional hot food for party guests, and more.
