If you frequent Indooroopilly Shopping Centre you will know that for the last one and a half years they have been undergoing a major transformation, to be wrapped up in mid 2014. But in saying that, new stores have popped up with brand new shiny interiors as well as a children's precinct that has its own play area. New parking stalls have opened up as well, making it easier to get in.

The long anticipated new gourmet food precinct opened up this past weekend with a promise that the new food area would have foodies clamouring to get in. Well, they have not disappointed.

There are a whole host of things that make your mouth water and put your senses on alert, giving you more ammunition for those family dinners.

Sometimes you just need some inspiration when it comes to meals. You can sit in one of the cafes and coffee shops and get some ideas brewing. With lots to choose from you will be inspired to cook something new, something you love or something you excel at. You will even be able to purchase things to cook with and set that fabulous table. Then you can compliment it with a lovely bouquet.

The Cabassi and Co. Artisan Butcher has three showcases full of their wares to help you with whatever meats your needs. Included with them is The Butcher's Kitchen, a place where you can lunch on roast of the day and steak sandwiches. Con's Fish Market will have the catch you want and the Indooroopilly Fruit Market is awash with colour and scents, tempting you in to taste all.

UFM Asian Groceries give you lots to choose from and adds another dimension to your cooking experience. If you are familiar with the French Twist you will be pleased to note that they too will be coming soon to Indro with their fresh pastries and aromatic coffees.

The Oliver and Co Deli once opened will help to round out the mix along with the new sushi restaurant.

Daisy's Florist has a variety of flora in wonderful colours that will tie everything in so you can add them to your table or take them for a friend's table.

The new gourmet precinct is located in what once was the lower level of the Myer Centre. With the addition of the new Woolies you can pretty much get everything you need here. And you will also be able to enter from Moggill Road where light is already streaming in from the new entrance that will be formally opened in August. For more news on the upgrades go here and check out the updates.

Come and get your gourmet on.
