After a mammoth year, Gotye will bring his world tour back home to Melbourne (& Australia) in December. For the first time since he started breaking chart records, our local audiences will see him perform.

Gotye's breakout hit Somebody That I Used To Know (featuring Kimbra) has topped the charts in 31 countries and his album Making Mirrors has sold almost 2 million copies!

Resting in the top USA charts for 8 months Gotye will perform in Australia. Fantastic concerts in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne will also bring Gotye's 10 piece live band to delight audiences.

Prior to the Australian tour, Gotye is performing in some of the most amazing venues including: The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, London's Hammersmith Apollo and Le Zenith in Paris. Not bad for a local lad.

The singer/songwriter is also known as Wally De Backer.

Gotye's breakaway hit 'Somebody That I Used To Know (feat Kimbra)' and the album Making Mirrors have topped the charts in 31 countries, with sales coming up to 10 million worldwide and album sales nearly 2 million.

An amazing feat with "Somebody That I Used to Know" reaching and maintaining #1 on the US Billboard 100 chart for a staggering eight consecutive weeks. This is rivalled by the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive" during the rave that was "Saturday Night Fever" and is the (equal) second longest run at #1 in the U.S. by any Australian artist ever (behind Olivia Newton-John's "Physical", which held for ten weeks in 1982-3).

Recently Gotye was named the Australian Songwriter of the Year at the APRA Awards.

2012 concerts promise something special back home.
Special Guests for the shows are soon to be announced.
