GOSAC stands for Give Our Strays A Chance and it was created by Dean Morris who is a 15-year-old teenager. Together with Get Barked , GOSAC is going to create what is sure to be an incredible G!

It will be held on Saturday 5th January 2019, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. It will be on at Halls Head Central Shopping Centre, 14 Guava Way, Halls Head, and this is just a pleasant hour's drive from Perth by car or train to Mandurah.

is all about helping stray animals and saving them. At this event, you will be able to come and rescue a furry friend and have your very own darling best friend! There will be stray animals available for adoption, so now is your chance to save an animal as well as bring a lot of joy and possibly mischief and fun into your life.

There will be a huge raffle with the most amazing prizes to be won. Organisers are asking that you dig deep and give donations to help look after these homeless animals so that they can eventually go to their forever and loving homes.

ABOUT DEAN MORRIS**
Dean Morris is the founder of this organisation. His story goes that he rescued his pet dog, Hooch from a country pound on the very day this dog was supposed to be euthanised. After this, Dean saved all the money that he received for birthdays and holidays and bought food and toys for the dogs in that pound. When he actually went to take the food to these dogs, he witnessed the conditions that Hooch had lived in.

It was horrific. The poor animals were in small cages, on a concrete floor. There were no windows, and so it was both dark and also very sad. All this really affected Dean.

At the same time, Dean was studying at a school in PEAC – the gifted and talented program - how to be a leader and make a difference. He immediately knew what he wanted to do and it was then that Dean started GOSAC. So far, GOSAC has raised around $11,971 in cash and many cats and dogs have found their forever and loving homes.

Dean has also raised awareness of adopting and donating to strays in animal shelters and asks that if you possibly can donate whatever amount you can afford, click on this link.

All donations will go to SAFE Perth - Saving Perth Animals from Euthanasia.

ABOUT SAFE**
It is the goal of SAFE Perth to promote responsible pet ownership and to educate people as to the value of companion animals. SAFE Perth does not get any corporate or government funding and therefore relies totally on the help of the public to continue the work of saving animals from unnecessary death.

SAFE Perth is no-kill rescue centre which consists of foster carers who take in animals into their homes. For more information on this wonderful and caring organisation, please click on their website, or you can donate at this link.

This is going to be a great event for the whole family, so make sure it is one that you attend!
