What do we want most from a hair dresser?
To look fabulous when you leave with a hair cut you can definitely manage at home and not feel like your wallet has been fleeced – oh and have a lovely time while you are there? If you answered YES, you will not be disappointed with the fabulous Gorgeous Hair. Consistency is the key with these girls.
Nestled in leafy Crows Nest, with car parking on the street and situated between two 2 hr car parks you don't need to worry about being able to get there. If you don't drive there are buses practically to the door and St Leonard's Station is 10 minutes walk away.
On arrival the first thing you will notice is that the salon is spotless, bright and open. Secondly will be the laughter emanating around the room. The girls have been working here for more than 10 years together and the loyal client base is very obvious. I'm told by the owner they have never advertised and all the business has come by word of mouth. I know this is true because I was recommended and have recommended many of my friends too.
We all want someone we can trust as our hair is so important – it's what everyone sees first and can make us feel totally fabulous or atrocious on any given day. I have struggled with curly frizzy hair all my life and thanks to Gorgeous Hair I get to look as glamorous as Cameron Diaz whenever I have the Keratin straightening treatment. After having my hair destroyed elsewhere by a so called friendly Keratin product I had to get most of my long locks cut off to remove the yellow damaged hair. I was heart-broken. It had cost me a fortune for a disaster.
Now thanks to great care my hair is growing again, is silky smooth and I treat myself to a nice blow dry every week. Not only do I come away feeling great but the banter in the salon always lifts my spirits. The camaraderie and fun is infectious and most women seem to join in whatever crazy topic has been raised and a good laugh usually ensues. Don't tell them I told you but if you happen to be in the salon around the 5pm mark you are likely to be offered a nice glass of red or white wine, or of course, water, tea or coffee with a biscuit or chocolate on the side.
I see all the regulars coming back as I am in there often and I would go as far as to say there is love in the air. The girls absolutely love what they do, it's so obvious, and the clients love coming to see them. They always work extremely hard with a total passion for their job and are so very reliable.
Their work is excellent, and the prices reasonable, the take home products and treatments actually work and some of them smell nice enough to eat. Oh, and the head massage during the shampoo clears away all your stress for the week.
If you want to just try them for a wash and blow dry you will come back for more. The quality of colour treatments is fabulous as well as the cuts. They are always in demand for bridal parties and have incredible expertise at 'Up dos' It would have to be the best hairdressing salon I've had the pleasure of visiting ever and I am so grateful I found them which is why I am passing this on to you.
