Green tranquility in the heart of the Goomburra Valley, part of the Main Range National Park system, only 2 hours from Brisbane. This campground is the last of the Parks and campgrounds before the Goomburra Forest National Park, and ideally situated to access all the walking trails therein.

Camping sites are large and plentiful on both the upper and creek-side levels. Solar powered facilities are very good. If you go out of the busy times like we do, then you may have the park nearly to yourselves, but in peak times booking is necessary. For those who prefer tranquility in more comfort, there are cottages available over the road.

Kangaroos visit during breakfast and dinner. The resident bower bird checked out the campsite and took the blue lid specially bought for his nest. Finches busily clean the ground around us after meals. Dalrymple Creek is clear but shallow and cold. Possums are occasional visitors, so keep your supplies packed out of reach at night. The morning light in the Valley is great for photographers and cooler nights are refreshing.
