I love slow travel, slow food and discovering new adventures and delicious regional food in new locations. I'm on an indulgent quest and I'd love you to follow at www.walkeatshare.wordpress.com

Bar proceeds go to a good cause
Following many years of collaboration, Goolwa Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), Surf Life Saving SA and Alexandrina Council are proud to present the new Goolwa Beach SLSC facility. The brand new building is located at the Goolwa Beach carpark overlooking the magnificent Southern Ocean.
As well as a training and meeting room, storage for watercraft and other equipment and toilet facilities for beachgoers there is an exciting new entertainment venue for locals and visitors to Goolwa Beach.
This new facility provides another venue for all to enjoy in Goolwa. The popular Bombora Cafe, just in front of the new building, is relocating its main restaurant operation to the Aquacaf on Barrage Road. The Bombora kiosk, however, will continue to offer coffee, cakes and ice-cream. A progressive lunch springs to mind; a glass of wine at the GSLSC, lunch at the Aquacaf, then back to Goolwa Beach for coffee and cake at Bombora kiosk. It's an opportunity to enjoy sea and river views in the same afternoon. It is entirely possible at Goolwa.
