Calling all artists, photographers and visitors! The annual Goolwa Art and Photographic Exhibition is back for the 6th year, bringing an array of art and photography for viewing.
Located at the Signal Point Gallery, Wharf Precinct, Goolwa from 24 March to 7 April 2018 (including Easter weekend), the exhibition will include 750 exhibits by local and interstate artists and photographers. Open daily from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, the exhibition is an initiative of the Rotary Club of Goolwa and raises funds for and supports a variety of charities. Over the past 12 months, funds from the exhibition have contributed to mobile shelters, defibrillators,and trees and bushes for riverfront parks amongst other worthwhile contributions.

If you are an artist or photographer, why not exhibit your work? There will be 20 individual cash awards totalling $17,250 available in categories under the Art and Paintings and Photographic genres. You can choose from categories such as Landscape/Watercolour, Nature and Creative.
Top prizes include the Alexandrina Art Prize ($5,000) and the Goolwa Shopping Centre Photographic Prize ($2,000). A new category this year will be the Goolwa Art Award: Essence of Goolwa. The Goolwa Wharf Precinct is the perfect spot for this exhibition. With the Cockle Train nearby, the Wharf Barrel Shed for a bit of a tipple, the Steam Exchange Brewery and lots of nearby cafes there is plenty to do either before or after your Exhibition visit. A look at the exhibition and a picnic by the water would be a perfect afternoon activity.
